MODEL UNITED NATIONS PROGRAMME AT JIRS

Welcome Address by
Narasimhan Ravi
It is indeed a privilege and great honor for me to be among you today to deliver the welcome address on this first Model United Nations programme at JIRS.
What do human beings fear the most? Any guesses?
Well, it’s the fear of death. What about the second most fear? It’s the fear of public speaking. There are so many platforms to develop our public speaking and leadership skills and the model United Nations is one such.
First of all, how many of you have heard about the MUN?
How many of you have attended an MUN before? I see a few hands here and there, not bad, but I’m sure I’ll see more after today’s programme.
Today we have a very special person with us, who has made his way all the way from the states. Despite his busy schedule he was found time for us and he is here with us today to brief us about the MUN. We the JIRS family are delighted to welcome our esteemed chief guest for today Mr. Jonas DeMuri-Siliunas to this ceremony. I extend a hearty welcome to our CEO Wng.C Ganesh Sharma, PRO ma’am, COO JASE Wng.C Arjith Ghosh, COO JIRS Mr. Rudra Sharma. I would also like to welcome the Principals, Vice principals, Head of departments, sports coaches, support staff and the entire teaching faculty to this ceremony. And the last but not least, I welcome all the young budding talents sitting in this auditorium. Sit back and enjoy the show.
Thank you
Narasimhan Ravi
